Executive Bio

Orpheus Kennedy is an entrepreneur, filmmaker, technology executive, and media innovator dedicated to building platforms that empower creators to own, distribute, and monetize their work.

As the Founder and CEO of The Underground Lab, LLC, a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), Orpheus leads a multimedia company focused on original film, television, live productions, podcasts, educational programming, and digital distribution. Under his leadership, the company has expanded beyond content creation to become a technology-driven media platform, delivering entertainment through TUL TV, a streaming service available across multiple devices and platforms.

In addition to his media ventures, Orpheus is the Founder and CEO of NKLO Tech, LLC, a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) specializing in software development, cloud infrastructure, mobile applications, streaming technology, automation, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and enterprise solutions. NKLO Tech serves as the engineering partner responsible for developing and maintaining the technology that powers The Underground Lab's digital ecosystem.

With more than two decades of experience in information technology, software engineering, systems architecture, and digital media, Orpheus combines technical expertise with creative storytelling to build scalable platforms that serve both audiences and content creators. His work bridges the worlds of entertainment and technology, creating solutions that simplify content distribution while opening new opportunities for independent filmmakers, musicians, educators, and entrepreneurs.

Orpheus believes the future of media belongs to creators who control their own platforms rather than relying solely on traditional gatekeepers. That philosophy drives every project he leads—from developing streaming technology and advertising infrastructure to producing original content and educational programs that inspire the next generation of storytellers.

His long-term vision is to build one of the world's leading creator-focused media ecosystems by combining technology, production, distribution, education, and advertising into a single integrated platform that helps creators build sustainable businesses around their work.

Founder Story

Some people build companies because they see a market opportunity.

Orpheus Kennedy built one because he saw a problem that creators had been living with for decades.

After years of working in both technology and media production—and serving his country as a veteran—he watched talented filmmakers, musicians, podcasters, and entrepreneurs create incredible work only to discover that creating content was the easy part. Getting it seen, building an audience, controlling distribution, and generating sustainable revenue remained out of reach for many independent creators.

Rather than accept the system as it existed, Orpheus decided to build a new one.

He founded The Underground Lab, a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), with a vision that extended far beyond a traditional production company. His goal was to create an ecosystem where creators could produce, distribute, market, and monetize their work without depending entirely on third-party platforms or gatekeepers.

That vision led to the creation of TUL TV, the streaming platform that serves as the public face of The Underground Lab's growing media network. But the platform itself was only part of the story.

To ensure complete control over the technology powering the ecosystem, Orpheus launched NKLO Tech, also a Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), to design, develop, and maintain the software infrastructure behind the platform. By owning both the creative and technical sides of the business, he positioned the organization to innovate quickly, adapt to changing technology, and build solutions tailored specifically for creators.

Today, The Underground Lab operates as a modern media company—producing original films, television, podcasts, educational programming, and live events—while NKLO Tech develops the software, cloud infrastructure, mobile applications, streaming technologies, and enterprise solutions that power the experience.

Together, they represent a single mission:

Build a future where creators own more of what they create.

For Orpheus, success has never been measured solely by awards, downloads, subscribers, or views. Those are milestones—not the destination.

The real goal is to build an ecosystem that gives independent creators the same tools, technology, and opportunities that were once reserved for major studios and billion-dollar media companies.

Every line of code, every production, every new feature, and every partnership moves that vision one step closer.

Because in the end, the greatest legacy isn't the content one person creates.

It's the opportunities created for everyone who follows.

"We don't measure our success by how many shows we produce. We measure it by how many creators build successful businesses because The Underground Lab exists."
